One to one and small group private yoga sessions
Why choose one to one yoga? Traditionally, yoga was taught one to one, enabling student and teacher to work with the student's individual constitution and current needs. Group classes offer a great opportunity to practice with others but, by nature, the practice is more general because it is designed to best meet the needs of a diverse cross-section of people. Private sessions are an ideal way to work with your individual needs, helping to develop your yoga practice and increase well-being. Since 2007, I've worked one to one with people of all ages and backgrounds. Some people come with specific requirements - perhaps some postures that they're struggling to make sense of or hoping to find greater freedom in. Some people have specific health conditions and find that yoga and meditation help them find greater ease. I've taught private sessions for people with chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia, lower back pain and arthritis. I've also worked with people post-stroke, post-surgery and with asthma, COPD, anxiety, depression and complex trauma.
Due to its vast range of practices, yoga is helpful in virtually any situation. A session can be devoted solely to restorative yoga and relaxation or can be focused on a more dynamic practice. Full sessions of yoga nidra, pranayama and meditation can also be helpful if you are looking to deepen your practice.
I teach one to one yoga every Wednesday at Passbye House, Whitland, Carmarthenshire. I can also offer home-based sessions in Swansea on a Thursday and in Pembrokeshire on a Tuesday if you have space at home. I also offer one to one voice-work, mantra and harmonium tuition.
