Since 2013, I've been running healing yoga and kirtan retreats in the stunning Welsh countryside. Blue Sky Yoga retreats offer a range of hatha yoga, mindfulness and mantra practices and plenty of time to just be. Everyone is welcome, whether you are completely new to yoga or have been practicing for years. Each retreat includes at least 8 hours of sessions, including meditation, chanting and yoga nidra. You can participate in every session or take quiet time to rest in the beauty of nature.
Summer Solstice Retreat for Women in the Elan Valley Friday 21st June - Sunday 23rd June 2019
An opportunity to celebrate the summer solstice with a rejuvenating weekend of yoga and deep immersion in nature. This solstice retreat is an opportunity to come together to embrace the light of midsummer and to harness this potent energy to cultivate greater presence and an increased appreciation of life's simple pleasures. By integrating what is learned on retreat - a combination of yogic self care practices, mindfulness and self-compassion - we can transition into autumn with increased wellbeing, balanced energy and an improved ability to hear our own wise inner voice. Schedule As well as yoga asana (posture), we will practice pranayama, mantra, mudra, bandha, meditation and yoga nidra to balance energy and increase silence and stillness within. In circle, we will use mantra and earth songs to deepen our connection with our own true nature and to offer reverence to mother nature. More and more people are feeling a collective grief for the desecration of the natural world, so this is an opportunity both to celebrate the beauty of nature and to grieve her destruction in a safe, supportive space. This is a weekend where all parts of yourself are welcome and where you can rest in nature's embrace to heal whatever needs healing. All yoga practices are focused on reducing stress, regulating the nervous system and building strength in the body through slow, mindful movement and posture work. The retreat is therefore suitable for all ages and abilities, including those with health conditions or who are completely new to yoga Details The price is £295 (or £275 if paid in full before the early booking date of 22nd March). This includes tuition, food and accommodation. Accommodation There is currently good availability of both single and twin rooms, all of which have either private en-suite or an en-suite bathroom shared by two adjacent rooms. If you have a strong preference, please book early. Food The food is delicious, home-cooked and vegetarian. Special diets can be catered for. Booking Please contact me if you'd like to book a space and I will email you the schedule and booking form and answer any questions you might have. Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. It is wise to take out holiday insurance in the event that you need to cancel for any reason.
